ORIENTATION SESSION FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS - CLASSES X AND XII (MARCH 16, 2019)

GDGPS, Sector 48, Gurugaon has given new meaning and benchmark dimensions to partnering with parents. With every initiative and endeavour, it ensures that the teachers, parents and students are always on the same page and work together in tandem.  The school organizes special sessions and orientations which offer parents clear insights into curriculum planner for each session. In order to allay students’ and parental apprehensions regarding the Board classes, an orientation session was organized for the parents and children of X and XII on March 16, 2019.

The orientation session was specially addressed by the school Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa, who called the academic pathway for the X and XII classes as the Road to Success. This academic planner drawn up under the principal’s personal guidance and involvement makes optimum use of the instructional periods, circumvents the potential challenges that can crop up and emphasizes the academic rigour and regularity required in Grades X and XII.

The principal laid emphasis on certain guideposts which will lead to ultimate success not only in exams but also in future namely setting up of goals, taking on responsibility, being self-disciplined, working towards self-development and never quitting. She urged the parents and students to align themselves with the school’s academic planner, the no of instructional days and also ensure regular attendance of the students to the school. Ms. Handa also threw light on the CBSE mandated SEWA Programme and how the school has made arrangements for the Grade X and XII students to engage in active community service.

The parents expressed their keen appreciation of the concern, vision and far-sighted planning shown by the school in anticipating and hence, pre-empting the challenges that the board classes face every year and also in readying an academic-empowered and driven new session that awaits their  children.
