A DAY WITH THE AUTHOR GAURANGA DARSHAN DAS
(January 19, 2026)
An author’s meet with Gauranga Darshan Das was organized for the students of Classes VI and VII on January 19, 2026. This authors meet was more like a workshop and interactive session with the students on Mindfulness and Focus. The session was conducted by Gauranga Darshan Das, a distinguished speaker and the author of ‘Focused Minds’ and ‘Mindful Me’.
The session commenced with an elucidation of the distinction between the mind and intelligence. The speaker explained that the mind is often governed by emotions and distractions, whereas intelligence enables rational thinking and sound decision-making. He emphasized the importance of cultivating mindfulness and focus to enhance students’ academic performance and overall personal development.
Gauranga Darshan Das also introduced the concept of TAP, which comprises Time Management, Attention Management, and Priority Management. He highlighted the necessity of maintaining an effective balance among these three aspects to achieve meaningful and productive learning. The concepts were effectively reinforced through insightful anecdotes and references from the Mahabharata, which added depth and relevance to the session.
The workshop was informative and enriching. It concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Shalini Ma’am, marking the end of a highly insightful session.
