ASSEMBLY-EXCELLENCE IS LEARNING FROM MISTAKES

(OCTOBER 14, 2025)

“A mistake is a lesson waiting to be learned.”

The students of Grade 3D conducted a thoughtful and engaging assembly on the theme “Excellence is Learning from Mistakes.” The comperes for the day, started the morning by warmly welcoming everyone, followed by a thoughtful prayer.

The assembly moved forward with the Thought for the Day, where students shared inspiring lines that reminded everyone that learning from mistakes helps us grow stronger each day. It motivated the audience to stay positive, keep trying, and never give up. The young news presenters confidently delivered the latest updates through their special segment “Goenkan Informers – Sabse Tez.” They informed everyone about important international and national happenings, exciting sports updates, the day’s weather forecast and the school news, helping students stay aware of the world around them.

A short skit was performed showcasing real life examples of famous personalities like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and J K Rowling, who learned from failures and turned them into stepping stones to success. Through dialogues and motivational songs, students conveyed that mistakes are a part of the journey towards excellence.

An interactive session encouraged the audience to share their own experiences of learning from mistakes. Students highlighted that ‘FAIL’ stands for ‘First Attempt In Learning’, delivering the message that one should accept, learn, and grow from every mistake.

The assembly concluded with a lively dance performance by the students of Grade 3D, followed by encouraging words from the headmistress Ms. Shalini ma’am who inspired the students to embrace their mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow.

Overall, the assembly conveyed the powerful message that excellence is not about never failing, but about learning, improving, and never giving up.
