ASSEMBLY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF SETTING GOALS

(January 22, 2026)

To instil a sense of purpose and direction among the students, Grade IV B presented an insightful morning assembly on the theme, The Importance of Setting Goals. The event commenced with a powerful Hindi recitation that motivated everyone to stop waiting and start running towards their ambitions, followed by a serene prayer invoking the blessings of Maa Saraswati on the occasion of Basant Panchami.

The assembly effectively combined entertainment with learning, featuring a thought-provoking skit where students shared their diverse dreams—from becoming doctors to astronauts. One of the highlight of the program was the "Blindfold Challenge," which visually demonstrated how life without direction leads to confusion, whereas applying "SMART" goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) provides clarity and ensures success. The students further inspired the audience by recounting the journeys of sports legends emphasizing that resilience and hard work are the keys to overcoming failure.

The energy remained high with a lively performance and an interactive quiz session conducted by the "Goenkan Reporters." The gathering was then addressed by the Headmistress, Ms. Shalini Tandon, who praised the students for their creativity and encouraged them to define their paths early in life. The assembly concluded with the school anthem, leaving the audience with the resounding message that a goal without a plan is just a wish, but with dedication, every dream is achievable.
