CAREERS FOR TOMORROW
(August 13, 2026)
A session on “Careers for Tomorrow: Jobs That Don’t Exist Yet!” was organised in collaboration with UniVariety for students to help them understand the rapidly evolving nature of careers and the changing world of work. The session was conducted by Ms. Vaishnavi Thukral, who provided students with valuable insights into emerging career pathways and the skills required to stay future-ready.
The session highlighted how technological advancements, artificial intelligence, automation, sustainability and changing societal needs are creating new professions and transforming existing ones. Students were encouraged to look beyond conventional career choices and understand that many of the jobs they may pursue in the future may not even exist today.
The expert emphasised the importance of developing adaptability, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and continuous learning. Students also explored how interdisciplinary knowledge and transferable skills can help them navigate an uncertain and dynamic career landscape.
The session encouraged students to focus not only on choosing a career but also on building the skills and mindset needed to remain relevant in the future. Through practical examples and engaging discussions, Ms. Thukral motivated students to be curious, open-minded and proactive in exploring emerging opportunities.
Overall, the session was an insightful and thought-provoking experience that helped students broaden their understanding of the future of work and encouraged them to prepare for careers that are yet to take shape.
