 DECODING SUBJECT COMBINATIONS - A ROADMAP TO COLLEGE AND CAREER

 

The first session for class XI - in terms of choice of their subjects and their prospects during the graduation was taken up by Mr. Binit Binod of Pratham group of institutions.  The institute has been able to guide more than 80000 students successfully through their college and career options.

The session started with Mr. Binit cautioning the class XI students on the paucity of preparation time for their college admissions and to make best use of the two years to research and prep up.  He also led the students through the statistics of seats versus aspirant’s ratio across top ranked Indian universities and colleges, asserting time and again that the competition was tough but with adequate preparation, a student should be able to sail through the university entrance tests and college admissions easily.  He further introduced the system of learning at Pratham institute, a comprehensive preparation which included mock tests, e-learning and follow up by the dedicated teachers.

 

Post the session, the students were introduced to their project work for the year by the Career Counsellors, Ms. Rohini Mishra and Ms. Shoma Roy. This group project includes entails research work on the choice of subjects, colleges and universities which the students wish to pursue.

 

The session was well received by the students, with adequate generation of queries and satisfactory answers.
