NAVIGATING YOUR FUTURE WITH EXPLORING SUBJECT OPTIONS AND CAREER PATH

On 11 October 2021 a session titled "Navigating Your Future: Exploring Subject Options & Career Path" was held to assist students and parents in making informed decisions regarding their academic and career trajectories after grade 12. The event featured insightful presentations from key speakers, including the school Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handal, Mr. Deepak Madan, Eminent career Counselor and the school counselor, Ms. Rohini Mishra.
The session commenced with an address by the Principal, who reflected on the students' journeys so far. She emphasized on the importance of making informed decisions at this critical stage in their education. Her address set a positive tone for the session, encouraging students to consider their options carefully and to understand the long-term implications of their choices.
Mr. Deepak Madan, the main speaker, engaged both parents and students in a discussion about the various career and subject options available after grade 12. He highlighted the significance of early preparation and the necessity of maintaining regular school attendance during grades 11 and 12. Mr. Madan strongly advised against opting for "dummy schools," stressing that consistent engagement in academic activities is crucial for building a solid foundation for future studies and career paths.
Following Mr. Madan's presentation, school counselor Ms. Rohini Mishra provided valuable insights into the pathways available for students. She explained the role of psychometric assessments in helping students identify their strengths and interests, which can guide them in selecting appropriate subjects and career paths. Additionally, Ms. Mishra discussed the benefits of individual stream counseling, emphasizing the importance of personalized guidance in navigating educational choices.
