PARENT ORIENTATION CLASS 9

(APRIL 12, 2025)

As Grade 9 students embark on their new chapter, an orientation was conducted by the school for the parents of class 9 students on 12 April 2025 which set the beginning of their transition from the middle school to the senior school wing. The orientation session is a pivotal moment, as students are introduced to the new academic structure, expectations, and subject specializations they will encounter in the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) system. It served to ease this transition, clarify any doubts, and motivate students for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

The event was addressed by the torchbearer, School Principal, Ms Anuradha Handa, who congratulated the parents and the students for making it to this pivotal stage of their academic life. She calls it to be the beginning of an important phase in the educational journey of the students-one that comes with new challenges, opportunities, and growth. She encouraged them by quoting ‘You are not just advancing academically, but also preparing for the responsibilities and experiences of the senior school wing’. The gathering was also addressed by the Headmistress, Ms Shikha Sharma who welcomed the students with open arm and termed this year to be a turning point of their academic year where they would discover new subjects, develop new skills, and encounter a broader spectrum of knowledge.

The subject teachers further gave the overview of the syllabus, curriculum followed, marking scheme and the guidance that is extended to the students all through the year. The orientation ended with few hands-on activities and practical learning experiences in different domains. The parents were provided with space to interact with teachers, ask questions, and gain insight into how their child’s progress will be tracked. This helped in building a strong home-school partnership where both parties collaborated on student success.
