SCHOOL CINEMA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL AT GDGPS SEC 48

The School Cinema International Film Festival (SCIFF) was successfully organized for students of Classes III to X from November 24 to 28, 2025. A series of age-appropriate, value-based films were screened in the school auditorium, providing students with a meaningful and engaging learning experience beyond the classroom.
The curate selection included movies in various languages with English subtitles, ensuring inclusivity and wider exposure. The films highlighted important values such as empathy, honesty, kindness, friendship, peer relationships, gender equality, family values, sustainability, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking. The content was thought-provoking, relatable, and impactful, and the children thoroughly enjoyed watching the films.
In addition to the values explored, the animated films offered students an insight into the basics of movie-making, sparking curiosity and creativity. The festival not only entertained but also encouraged reflection, discussion, and a greater understanding of human emotions and responsible behavior.
Overall, the School Cinema International Film Festival enriched the students’ holistic development and strengthened value education through the impactful medium of cinema.
